abstract Drop dispensers are known for dispensing a pharmaceutical liquid in the form of drops with a housing, a liquid reservoir (12) and a discharge opening (16) for discharging the liquid, which penetrates a wall of the housing and is associated with an outlet valve (18). It is proposed that the discharge opening (16) is surrounded by a drop formation surface (32, 34, 36) on the outside of the housing, this drop formation surface (32, 34, 36) at least in an outer region (36), with respect to an orientation the drop dispenser with vertically downwardly pointing discharge opening (16), a downwardly and to the discharge opening (16) has a tapered shape and is hydrophilic. The drop dispenser according to the invention allows the application of drops of constant size and shortens the drying time of a remaining residual drop.
