abstract A semiconductor composition comprising a non-amorphous semiconductor material and a molecular glass, wherein the molecular glass is selected from the group consisting of: a spiro compound of the formula (1) or formula (2) wherein each R substituent is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl containing from about 1 to about 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, protected amino, -OR ', -OCOOR ', -CNO, -NHCOOR', hydroxyphenyl, -COOH and epoxy is selected and R 'is alkyl; a structure selected from one of formulas (3) to formula (8): wherein each R is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, or substituted aryl containing from about 3 to about 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, protected amino, -OR ', -OCOOR' , -CNO, -NHCOOR ', hydroxyphenyl, -COOH and epoxy is selected and R' is alkyl; a silane of the formula (9): wherein each R substituent is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl containing from about 1 to about 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, protected amino, -OR ', -OCOOR ', -CNO, -NHCOOR', hydroxyphenyl, -COOH and epoxy is selected and R 'is alkyl and m and n are both integers, where m + n = 4; an adamantane derivative of formula (10): in which each R is independently a substituent comprising a heteroatom; a structure selected from one of formulas (11) to formula (13): wherein each R substituent is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl containing from about 1 to about 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, protected amino, -OR ', -OCOOR ', -CNO, -NHCOOR', hydroxyphenyl, -COOH and epoxy is selected and R 'is alkyl; a calixarene derivative of formula (14): wherein each R substituent is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl containing from about 1 to about 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, protected amino, -OR ', -OCOOR ', -CNO, -NHCOOR', hydroxyphenyl, -COOH and epoxy is selected and R 'is alkyl and R 1 is a phenyl group substituted with an oxygen-containing radical; and an arylamine derivative selected from one of formulas (16) to formula (24): wherein each R, R 1, and R 2 substituent is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, or substituted aryl having from about 3 to about 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyl, protected hydroxyl, amino, protected amino, from about 1 to about 18 carbon atoms, -OR ', -OCOOR', -CNO, -NHCOOR ', hydroxyphenyl, -COOH and epoxy is selected and R' is alkyl, n is an integer from 1 to 6 and Ar is independently selected from aryl, heteroaryl, substituted Aryl and substituted heteroaryl.
