abstract | The invention relates to platinum-supported catalysts for the heterogeneous catalysis of the asymmetric synthesis of chiral substances and to processes for their preparation. The invention further relates to the use of platinum-supported catalysts and platinum-supported catalysts obtainable by the process according to the invention for the heterogeneous catalysis of asymmetric synthesis and the use of aluminized, amorphous, non-porous SiO 2 , in particular aluminized pyrogenic silica, as catalyst catalyst. support material. The invention finds application in the chemical industry, in particular in the synthesis of enantiomerically pure compounds in fine chemical and pharmaceutical production. The process of the invention is applied to a substrate made of aluminized SiO 2 platinum.
