Methods and systems for determining a region of interest (ROIs) in ultrasound data are provided. A method (30) includes defining (32) a ROI within an acquired ultrasound dataset and identifying (32) a plurality of different image planes within the acquired ultrasound dataset. The method further includes determining (34) a significant edge of at least one boundary of the ROI based on the plurality of image planes, and adjusting (46) the ROI based on the determined significant edge. |
