The present invention relates to a method and a device for the specific and rapid diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. The concentration of metabolites of BNP1-32 in a sample in question is determined and a profile of the metabolites is generated. The individually generated metabolite profile allows the diagnosis of specific heart diseases, such as myocardial infarction, cardiac hypertrophy, congestive heart failure or other heart disease. |
