abstract The present invention relates to a new application of a compound. The compound 4-hydroxy-2,3-dimethoxy-6-methyl-5- (3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,6,10-trienyl) -cyclohex-2-enone of the invention is obtained from the extracts of Antrodia camphorata isolated and purified and can be used to inhibit the survival of gastric cancer cells and as a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting the growth of a gastric tumor.
