titleOfInvention Data storage device and method for data transmission
abstract A data storage device for storing data for a data processing device is disclosed. It comprises a digital data storage unit (40), a housing (2) in which the digital data storage unit is arranged separable from the data processing device, and at least one electrical feedthrough (20) through the housing. The housing (2) is designed such that the digital data storage unit is dust-protected and water and liquid protected, in particular jet water proof. The electrical feedthrough (20) is formed as part (23) of a protected electrical plug connection and / or arranged substantially in the housing (2). The data storage device can be used in a method for data transmission from a first computer to a second computer, wherein in particular at least one of the computers is arranged and operated in an environment with harmful for the trouble-free operation of electronic devices environmental influences.
