abstract |
The invention relates to a medical implant for intravascular application comprising a body (10) of a lattice structure which is compressible and expandable and comprises a biodegradable material of a magnesium alloy. The invention is characterized in that the magnesium alloy is supersaturated with at least one alloying component, the magnesium alloy being obtainable by sputtering one or more targets, the material of which contains the components of the magnesium alloy, and depositing the gaseous phase-transferred target material on a substrate for formation a material structure such that the supersaturated alloy component is in solid solution. |
