abstract A measuring device for an aircraft for determining physical properties of aerosol particles in real time is presented, in which volatile and solid aerosol particles are separated with the aid of a particle sensor and measurement data are determined by means of a particle sensor and the physical properties of the solid aerosol particles are determined with an analysis device. With a communication interface, the determined analysis data are forwarded to other internal aircraft systems. By forming a measurement or analysis data network with a plurality of airliners with a measuring device according to the invention, an accurate and up-to-date image of a particle load can be obtained, in particular along air routes, and used as needed for airspace closures.
