abstract | A bit synchronization method is proposed. The method includes buffering a plurality of samples from a signal stream, scanning the buffered samples for transitions, and updating a zero crossing histogram buffer upon detecting the transitions. The method further includes simultaneously detecting at least two peaks based on the updated zero-crossing histogram buffer, fixing at least two boundaries of the detected peaks, and integrating the buffered samples within the boundaries. Finally, the method includes generating an output signal having a synchronized bitstream from the integrated samples. |
