There is provided a system (100) and a method (210) for ultrasonic functional imaging. The method (210) includes obtaining (212) ultrasound image data acquired from a multilevel imaging scan of an imaged object. The ultrasound image data define multiple image planes. The method (210) further includes determining (216) functional image information for the imaged object from two-dimensional tracking information based on the plurality of image planes, and generating (218) ultrasonic functional image data for the imaged object using the functional image information. |
