abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for the catalytic gas phase oxidation of hydrocarbons which comprises: a) providing a catalytic reaction device with a refrigerant cooled reaction space between a gas inlet and a gas outlet, and b) passing a hydrocarbon-containing reaction mixture through the reaction space in a gas flow direction therethrough characterized in that the coolant is provided with a temperature profile rising in the gas flow direction; and a corresponding catalytic reaction device. |
