abstract A soot sensor includes first and second electrodes spaced on a substrate along its axial length and disposed parallel to one another. Furthermore, the soot sensor has a non-comb-like, electrically conductive additional structure which is arranged between the first and the second electrode. By means of the additional structure, a measurable resistance between the first and the second electrode can be reduced to a value of at least 2 megohms.
