abstract |
The subject of the present invention is a drug release system. The first component comprises a nanoparticle linked to an oligonucleotide inhibitor strand hybridized with a catalytically active nucleic acid. The second component comprises a nanoparticle attached to a substrate oligonucleotide carrying an active agent. By an external stimulus, the catalytically active nucleic acid of the first component is released and binds specifically to the substrate oligonucleotide of the second component. This leads to cleavage of the substrate oligonucleotide, releasing the drug bound thereto. |
