A process for producing a copper- and chromium-containing mixed oxide, the process comprising the following steps: (a) introducing a copper-containing and chromium-containing wet material into a thin-layer dryer, (b) performing a thermal treatment of the copper- and chromium-containing wet material in a treatment zone of the thin-film dryer at a temperature in the range of 200 ° C to 700 ° C to form a copper- and chromium-containing mixed oxide, (c) applying the copper- and chromium-containing mixed oxide obtained in step (b) from the thin-layer dryer. |
