abstract |
A pressure relief valve includes a housing and a wing that is movable to an open position and a closed position, respectively. A linear actuator is mechanically interposed between the movable vane and the housing. The linear actuator is a wire device made of a shape memory alloy. An actuatable locking system is configured to hold the movable wing in the open position and the closed position for an indefinite period of time. |
