titleOfInvention Method and means for patient and malignant specific detection of malignant cells
abstract A method of making a diagnostic for the specific detection of malignant cells of an individual comprising the steps of: a.) High-resolution representation of amplified genome sections in an isolated tumor sample by means of a fine-tiling array, possibly after previous total genome analysis by means of a CGH analysis (Comparative Genomic Hybridization), b.) amplification (preferably by PCR) and subsequent sequencing of the fusion regions of the fused-together amplified genome segments within the amplicon with the amplicon fusion sites (AFS), c.) Providing a sample which allows the fusion regions in genomic DNA to be amplified malignom cell-specific and patient-specific or to specifically detect the fusion regions.
