titleOfInvention Process and plant for the production of trichlorosilane
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of trichlorosilane in which silicon particles are reacted with tetrachlorosilane and hydrogen and optionally with hydrogen chloride in a fluidized bed reactor (101) to give a product gas stream containing trichlorosilane, the trichlorosilane-containing product gas stream being conveyed out of the reactor (101) via an outlet (117). which is preceded by at least one particle separator (118) which selectively allows only silicon particles to pass through to a specific maximum size, and silicon particles at preferably regular time intervals or continuously via at least one further outlet (109; 112) without such a particle separator the reactor (101) are discharged. Furthermore, an installation (100) is described which is suitable for carrying out such a method and which has a first (101) and a second fluidized-bed reactor (102) which are connected in such a way that silicon discharged from the first reactor (101) the second reactor (102) can be transferred.
