abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing a radiolabeled peptide, which comprises providing a precursor molecule in an organic solvent; adding a radiolabelled compound having a carboxyl function; the carboxyl function is activated; and the activated radiolabeled compound is linked to the precursor molecule to the radiolabelled peptide, wherein the radiolabelled compound is an isocyanocarboxylic acid. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of a radiolabeled isocyanocarboxylic acid for the production of a radiolabeled peptide.
