Process for the preparation of surface-modified metal oxide particles, in which a) in a first reaction step in a metal oxide containing gas stream introduces a surface modifier and exposing the resulting reaction mixture at a minimum residence time in the range of 1 to 60 s at a temperature of 130 to 250 ° C and b) in an immediately subsequent second reaction step, the solid reaction products separated by means of a filter device from the flowing reaction mixture and the present on the filter reaction mixture at a minimum residence time in the range of 1 min to 1 hour at a temperature of 110 to 230 ° C treated. |
