| abstract |
The invention relates to a device for applying active substances to the wall of a body vessel for treating the vessel wall with a catheter, a guide element and a distal element arranged on the guide element, in which the distal element is provided with a soft and atraumatic surface which is adaptable to the vessel wall , which carries the active substance and after exiting the catheter strives for a larger diameter than corresponds to the maximum vessel diameter in the segment of the body vessel to be treated, the larger diameter being caused by elastic forces in the distal element. |
