titleOfInvention Use of the juice of the chokeberry
abstract The invention relates to a use of the juice of the chokeberry (aronia melanocarpa). Known is the use of apple juice in dementia, atherosclerosis and atopic dermatitis. Surprisingly, it has now been found that the juice is useful for increasing physical performance, especially during prolonged exercise, such as running or cycling. The juice or a drink made with the juice is taken over a prolonged period of preferably at least one week, preferably in a daily dose corresponding to 100 to 300 ml of juice pressed from the berries. Preferably, the squeezed juice is diluted at least 1: 1 by adding at least the same volume of water or and the beverage thus obtained is taken. However, it can also be made of another drink, for example, a mixed drink from the juice and a tea. A juice or drink intended for the use according to the invention is preferably provided as a finished product with additives which support and / or supplement the performance of the apple-berry. Specifically, it is proposed that substances promoting such a juice or beverage be added to the energy metabolism of the cells, such as coenzyme Q10, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, cobalamin (vitamin B12), some of which also have other beneficial effects.
