abstract |
The invention relates to a process for the production of infusible, indifferent solvent-soluble polysilane-polycarbosilane copolymers comprising the steps Providing the product of a disproportionation of one or a mixture of a plurality of methylchlorodisilanes of the composition Si 2 Me n Cl 6-n , wherein n = 1-4, the disproportionation being carried out with a Lewis base as catalyst, this product being a chlorine-containing, hydrocarbon groups containing crude polysilane / oligosilane, and thermal postcrosslinking of the crude polysilane / oligosilane to a polysilane-polycarbosilane copolymer, characterized in that the chlorine content of the polysilane-polycarbosilane copolymer is lowered by reacting the crude polysilane / oligosilane or the polysilane-polycarbosilane copolymer with a substituting agent by which chlorine bonded therein is replaced by a chlorine-free substituent. By using this method, green fibers and low oxygen / free ceramic fibers can be produced with a very low chlorine content. |
