titleOfInvention | Method for assessing the quality of an egg |
abstract | The task was to create a method with which the egg cell quality can be improved without impairing the egg cell and, in particular, assessed as objectified. According to the invention, the oocyte-associated follicular fluid is mass-spectrometrically analyzed for the presence and intensity of specific protein masses, which are detectable differently under normal conditions in the follicular fluid and in the serum and which need not necessarily be known from protein classification. From the presence or absence of these masses and their intensity in the spectrum of follicular fluid, the assessment of egg cell quality by comparison with reference data. The invention serves, for example, for cell suitability assessment, in particular for fertilization, and for optimizing cell culture conditions. |
