titleOfInvention Sensor for electrophysiological studies on living cells and method for its production
abstract The invention relates to sensors for electrophysiological investigations on living cells and to a method for producing such sensors. The object of the invention is to provide sensors for electrophysiological examinations on living cells whose measurement accuracy is increased and with which reproducible and comparable test results can be obtained. In the sensor according to the invention, electrodes are formed in a row or matrix arrangement on the surface of an electrically insulating substrate and are electrically insulated from one another by the polymeric substrate material or a polymeric material applied between the electrodes on the substrate surface. The surface of a polymeric material or polymeric substrate material is locally selectively modified so that surface areas with increased adhesion for cells between electrodes are present.
