titleOfInvention | Process for the surface treatment of metallic components |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for surface treatment of metallic components, in particular of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, which are subjected to a heat treatment in the course of their manufacturing process after shaping. In the method, the surface treatment is carried out by curing a boundary layer by plasma diffusion in a plasma system, wherein the heat treatment is carried out simultaneously to the plasma diffusion by a controlled temperature control during the plasma diffusion. Following this heat treatment and plasma diffusion, a coating can then be applied to the hardened surface layer. The method enables the production of components made of aluminum or aluminum alloys with wear-resistant surfaces. |
