titleOfInvention | Process for the recovery of aliphatic C3 to C10 aldehydes from high boilers by thermal treatment |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the production of aliphatic C 3 - to C 10 -aldehydes from high boilers, which in the hydroformylation of the corresponding C 2 - to C 9 olefins in a heterogeneous reaction system using an aqueous, transition metal complex compounds of Group VIII of the Periodic Table Incurred as catalyst-containing solution, wherein the resulting organic phase after separation of volatile components and after separation of the aqueous catalyst phase is subjected to separate distillation steps and wherein in the last distillation step, the high boilers are cleaved at elevated temperature in a mixture of n- and iso-aldehyde, the is deducted as the top product. |
