abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of solketal in a heterogeneously catalyzed reaction using as catalyst an inorganic-organic composite material. The invention further relates to a process for the production of biodiesel fuels by esterification of triglycerides with methanol, wherein the glycerol obtained in the esterification is used to prepare the solketal. The invention also relates to the use of the prepared solketal as an additive for the produced biodiesel fuel. |
