An in-line carbonation process for producing a carbonated beverage from a low-carbon or low-acid beverage precursor and CO 2 in a dispensing system (1) is proposed, with the time and along a dispensing line (13, 14, 15) flow-sequential steps: Feeding a beverage precursor to be carbonated and CO 2 , mixing the beverage precursor and the CO 2 to a mixture stream in the tapping line (13, 14, 15), binding the CO 2 contained in the mixture stream in the beverage precursor contained in the mixture stream. The method is characterized in that the process steps binding and mixing are carried out separately and spatially spaced apart. Furthermore, a kit for converting an existing dispensing system to an in-line carbonization process and a suitable binder pipe is proposed. Finally, a dispensing system is proposed with which the above in-line carbonation process can be realized. |
