abstract Toothed belt (1) made of elastomeric material (3) with embedded strength members (2) and at least one tooth-side textile fabric support (7) with textured weft threads (9) and warp threads (8). The toothed belt (1) is intended to ensure a high and permanent attenuation of the sound emissions without complex fabric construction at low thickness of the fabric support, without affecting the flexibility of the toothed belt (1). This is achieved in that the fabric support (7) has a ratio Q of the mass of the textured weft threads (9) to the mass of the warp threads (8) of at least Q = 3.
