abstract |
The invention relates to a method for the diagnosis of a genetic predisposition for a vascular disease, in particular for a coronary artery disease (CAD). According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps: providing a sample containing a nucleic acid derived from the gene GCH1; and determining the presence or absence of a nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of the gene GCH1 in the nucleic acid, wherein the SNP is selected from the group consisting of rs8007267 G> A, rs3783641 A> T and rs10483639 C> G. |
