The invention relates to a hydrogel containing water, at least one gelling agent, at least one pharmaceutical active or cosmetic ingredient and optionally further auxiliaries and additives obtainable by a) mixing water and optionally present auxiliaries and additives, b) adding the gelling agent and homogenizing the mixture, c) adding the pharmaceutical active or cosmetic ingredient and optionally the gelation-inducing ionic compounds and homogenizing the mixture, d) pouring the mixture onto a carrier and e) cooling the mixture to form the hydrogel, wherein steps a) -d) are carried out at a temperature of between 79 and 95 ° C.
