abstract The invention relates to a method for producing at least one luminescence diode chip (1) which is provided with a luminescence conversion material (2) which has at least one luminescent substance (22). A base body (4) is provided which has a layer sequence for the luminescence diode chip (1) which is suitable for emitting an electromagnetic radiation. On at least one main surface of the base body (41), a cover layer (21) is applied. According to one presented embodiment, the cover layer (21) is photostructurable. At least one cavity (31, 32) is introduced into the cover layer (21). At least one phosphor (22) is applied to the cover layer (21) and adhesion between at least part of the phosphor (22) and the cover layer (21) is formed or reinforced. In addition, a luminescence diode chip (1) produced by the method is given.
