abstract |
The invention relates to a coating material having a catalytic activity for reducing the combustion temperature of carbon black and organic substances. It further relates to the use of the coating material. In order to provide a catalytically active coating material with which an abrasion-resistant and also suitable for optical applications coating for the combustion of soot and organic substances can be created, it is proposed in the invention that the coating material 0.5 to 99.5% by weight of zirconium-containing compounds, 0 to 10% by weight of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal compounds contains. Surprisingly, it is possible with the catalytic composition according to the invention to produce a colorless, transparent or translucent coating, which also has a high abrasion stability. |
