A drive control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle, wherein the hybrid vehicle comprises: an engine (E) including a plurality of cylinders and selectively displaceable to a full cylinder operating mode in which no cylinder is stopped, or a cylinder stop operating mode for obtaining a low fuel consumption as compared to the full cylinder operating mode; a generator (M2), which is selectively usable for driving by the engine (E) or to assist driving the engine (E), a motor (M1), by which a driving force of the vehicle by electric power generated by the generator (M2) or a battery device (LB) is provided, and can be generated a clutch (C) provided between the generator (M2) and wheels (W) of the vehicle, and a device for detecting a vehicle speed (VP) of the vehicle, the drive control device comprising: a control part for performing a cylinder stop drive assist mode associated with the cylinder stop operation mode and in which the clutch (C) is engaged and the drive of the vehicle is assisted using the generator (M2) or the engine (M1); in which, if the detected vehicle speed (VP) is less than a threshold (vptmasth) determined in consideration of the efficiency of the generator (M2) and the engine (M1), the control part performs a cylinder stop motor assist mode (S065, S066), in which the engine (M1) is selected to assist the propulsion of the vehicle, and when the detected vehicle speed (VP) is equal to or greater than the threshold (vptmasth), the control part performs a cylinder stop generator assist mode (S068) in which the generator (M2) is selected to assist the drive of the vehicle. |
