abstract | Transparent barrier film, in particular for packaging foodstuffs, the barrier film having a substrate film which is provided on at least one of its two sides with a barrier layer based on aluminum oxide (AlOx), characterized, in that the substrate film is based on at least one thermoplastic polymer selected from the group of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyolefins and polylactides (polylactic acids, PLA) and mixtures and combinations thereof, and the barrier film has an optical transmission (transparency) at a wavelength in the range from 400 to 600 nm, in particular at about 500 nm, of at least 96%. |
