Bioremediation process for the accelerated biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons in the polar sea ice-covered regions and bacterial and enzyme mixtures as a means of carrying out the process |
abstract |
Innthe polar sea ice covered regions with increasing explorationnand transport of petroleum increases the risk of oil pollutionnconstantly. So far no bioremediation proceduresnused, as this seemed possible only above freezing.nThe prevailing temperatures in the ice-covered regions are temperaturesnbut below freezing point. Currently a mechanicalnor favors physico-chemical removal of pollution, nbut leaves residual pollution and harms the environment.nThe bioremediation method according to the invention providesna contacting of the degradable petroleum hydrocarbonsnwith an inoculum in front, in addition to an environmentally friendly substratenand nutrients a bacterial mixture of differentncold-adapted, indigenous bacterial strainsnwhich has to different mining sites and degradable petroleum hydrocarbonsnare adjusted by having a different degradation spectrum and oil emulsification behaviornand a different salt and temperature tolerance rangenbut are still active at -3 ° C. Suitable bacterial strainsnand enzymes available therefrom can be determined by laboratory technologynEnrichment and isolation of bacteria under real conditionsnat -3 ° C and oil contamination.n11 preferred bacterial strains were deposited with the DSMZ. |
