titleOfInvention Cryostat with a magnetic coil system comprising an LTS and an encapsulated HTS section
abstract A cryostat (1) comprising a magnetic coil system comprising a superconductive conductor for generating a magnetic field B 0 in a measuring volume (3), comprising a plurality of radially-nested, electrically series-connected, solenoid-shaped coil sections (4, 5, 6), of which at least one LTS section (5, 6) comprises a conventional low-temperature superconductor (LTS) and at least one HTS section (4) comprises a high-temperature superconductor (HTS), the liquid helium magnet coil system being located in a helium tank (9) of the cryostat (1) is at a helium temperature T L , is characterized in that around the HTS section (s) (4) a chamber (11) is provided in the interior of which there is such a low pressure that there helium at the temperature T L remains gaseous. In the cryostat according to the invention, a HTS coil section can be used long-term and reliably.
