titleOfInvention | Process and apparatus for vaporizing liquid oxidants or oxidizer solutions at low energy input |
abstract | Itndiscloses a method and apparatus for low energy evaporationnan oxidizing agent, for example hydrogen peroxide or peracetic acid, nthe apparatus consisting of a reservoir containing the liquid oxidizing agent ornthe oxidizer solutionncontainsnas well as operationally withnthe reservoirnassociated evaporator containing the liquid oxidizing agent to be evaporatednor the oxidizer solutionngets fed by a flow control valve, one undernVacuum standing sterilization vessel, the operational so withnconnected to the evaporator, that its negative pressure on thenEvaporator acts, and a pressure sensor in said sterilization vessel, thenCan measure vapor partial pressure of the oxidant. A microprocessornis programmed to receive a signal from the pressure sensor in the sterilization vesselnand as soon as a predetermined pressure limit in the sterilization vessel is reachednis, the flow control valve can close, allowing condensationnthe oxidizing agent in the sterilization vessel is prevented. By ansingle or multiple introduction of the vaporous oxidantnor the vaporous onenOxidant solutionnbecome the sterilization vessel itselfnas well as the various items placed therein, for examplenmedical and surgical instruments, sterilized. |
