abstract | There are already known gas sensor with a sensor element, which is at least partially surrounded by a seal assembly within a sensor housing, wherein the seal assembly has at least one sealing element, which consists of a powdery material and has a pre-pressed shape. The sealing of the sensor element in the sensor housing is effected by generating a pressure on the sealing element, which is thereby at least partially pulverized. The fine powder of the sealing element thereby closes gaps both on the sensor element and on the sensor housing. In the gas sensor according to the invention, the sealing of the sensor element is improved within the sensor housing. According to the invention, it is provided that the sealing element (7) has an outer layer (30) which melts at a predetermined temperature and forms a sealed connection with the sensor element (2) and / or the sensor housing (1). |
