titleOfInvention fiber laser
abstract The invention relates to a fiber laser with a linear resonator. The invention provides a fiber laser, in particular for generating self-similar pulses, comprising a pump source (6) and a linear resonator, wherein the linear resonator two reflectors (1), a polarization-preserving, doped with an amplifier medium fiber (3) with an im in the Amplifier medium predetermined frequency range normal dispersion β 2 > 0, a dispersion compensating element (2) having an anomalous dispersion β 2 <0, an element (8) for coupling out radiation and a nonlinear mode coupling element (1b, 1c) with a modulation depth> 0, wherein fiber (3), dispersion compensating element (2), element (8) for decoupling radiation and nonlinear model coupling element (1b, 1c) between the two reflectors (1) are arranged in a common beam path bounded by the resonators and the total dispersion of the Beam path of the resonator arranged components is normal.
