Described are LCST polymers having terminal and / or backbone alkoxysilane groups -Si (OR 1 ) x R 1 y , where R 1 is an alkyl radical containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, y is 0, 1 and 2, and further x + y = 3. The LCST polymers can be crosslinked via a condensation reaction of the alkoxysilane groups. As a result, it is possible to produce coatings from the LCST polymers which adhere very strongly to surfaces. Such coatings are not contaminated by radical starters, so that they can initiate premature curing when incorporated, for example, in powder coatings. Also described are processes for their preparation and their use for coating particles and non-particulate substrate surfaces. |
