abstract A method of fabricating nonvolatile memory using quantum dots is disclosed. The disclosed method comprises the steps of: sequentially forming a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer on a substrate on which a particular device is formed; forming a physical mask by etching the second insulating layer; the deposition of silicon on the substrate where the physical mask is formed; the formation of quantum dots by etching the silicon by an etch back process; the removal of the physical mask; depositing a conductive layer on the third insulating layer and forming this conductive layer into a gate.
