Ruthenium heterogeneous catalyst containing silicon dioxide as a support material, wherein in silicon dioxide the determined by means of 29 Si solid-state NMR ratio of the Q 2 - and Q 3 structures Q 2 / Q 3 is less than 25, a process for preparing a bis-glycidyl ether of the formula I. in which R denotes CH 3 or H, by nuclear hydrogenation of the corresponding aromatic bisglycidyl ether of the formula II in which the above-mentioned ruthenium heterogeneous catalyst is used, and bisglycidyl ethers of the formula I, which can be prepared by the abovementioned process. |
