The process for producing multilayer fabrics, particles or fibers comprises the following steps: (a) applying reactive polycarboxylic acid or one of its derivatives to a flat, particulate or fibrous carrier material which already contains or has been provided with reactive groups capable of covalent bonding with respect to the polycarboxylic acid or one of its derivatives, (b) optionally heating the carrier material treated in step (a) to 60 ° C. to 130 ° C., preferably to 80 ° C. to 120 ° C., with acceleration, completion or further optimization of the covalent bonds, (c) applying cellulose capable of covalent bonding to the polycarboxylic acid or its derivatives on the support material. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the method according to the invention for the production of multilayer fabrics, particles or fibers for the hydrophilization of surfaces, in particular for the adhesion between hydrophobic and hydrophilic materials and to improve the washability of synthetic fibers, wherein the surfaces which are hydrophilized by the process , which form flat, particulate or fibrous carrier material. |
