titleOfInvention Connection structure for vehicle body elements
abstract A vehicle body panel connecting structure adapted to connect a joint surface of a first vehicle body member and a joint surface of a second vehicle body member, the second vehicle body member having a metal different from a metal containing the first vehicle body. Element having, characterized in that a bead (17) extending longitudinally adjacent to the joining surfaces is formed in a main body portion of the one of the first and second vehicle body members having lower rigidity as compared with the other; a means for connecting the connecting surface of the first vehicle body member and the connecting surface of the second vehicle body member is a mechanical connection using non-through-hole rivets (7), and a groove portion (1b) is provided along the bead (17) in one of the first vehicle body member and the second vehicle body member, and the first vehicle body member and the second vehicle body member are connected by the non-piercing rivets (7) which are driven at a predetermined number of riveting points in a bottom surface of the groove portion.
