A method of compressing a material to form a compressed product, comprising: Inserting the material into a press with dies on opposite sides of the material, wherein at least one of the platen oscillates between a compression phase and a relief phase, and the material has a compression recovery response time; Compressing the material during the compression phase; and Relieving the material during the relieving phase such that during the relieving phase at least one of said platen is out of contact with the material. |
