abstract |
The invention relates to a substance mixture, a method and a substance use for chromium (IV) -free black passivation of zinc alloys. For this purpose, an aqueous acidic solution with chromium (III) ions is used and the passivation is activated by adding phosphate ions. To form a black, nickel-containing chromate layer, nickel-containing zinc alloys with at least 10-12% nickel are used in particular. In these alloys, the phosphate added as an activator in small amounts enables reaction activation, the dissolution of nickel ions from the alloy and their homogeneous deposition in the form of black nickel (III) oxide. Nitrate ions and transition metal ions are used as further constituents and activators of the chromating bath. |
