abstract | A denture base resin composition is provided which requires no weighing and mixing operations during use, is free of the inclusion of air bubbles, and, when used to prepare a denture base, is free from degradation in physical properties and staining or discoloration in the course the time is. In addition, a dental prosthesis thus prepared has a high elastic energy value, is excellent in impact resistance, and, when provided with a shock or tension, as in the case of dropping, does not break easily. The denture base resin composition is in a single paste state and is constituted by (a) a polymerizable monomer and / or oligomer having a modulus of elasticity after polymerization of 0.25 to 3.00 GPa; (b) an organic filler and / or an organic-inorganic composite filler having an elastic modulus of 0.25 to 3.00 GPa, and (c) a polymerization initiator comprising a heat polymerization type polymerization initiator and / or a photopolymerization type polymerization initiator and optionally (d) an inorganic filler. |
