abstract The present invention relates to methods for the propagation of ribonucleic acids, in which DOLLAR A (a) is generated by means of a single strand primer, an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase and deoxyribonucleotide monomers, a DNA single strand by reverse transcription from an RNA; DOLLAR A (b) removes the RNA; DOLLAR A (c) generates a DNA double strand by means of a single strand primer, which comprises the sequence of a promoter, a DNA polymerase and deoxyribonucleotide monomers; DOLLAR A (d) splits the double strand into single strands; DOLLAR A (e) using a single-strand primer, which comprises the sequence of a promoter, a DNA polymerase and deoxyribonucleotide monomers, generates DNA double strands from the single strands formed in (d); DOLLAR A (f) using RNA polymerase and ribonucleotide monomers generates a large number of RNA single strands. DOLLAR A The present invention further relates to kits which comprise components necessary for carrying out the method according to the invention.
